Orchard Park Chorale can become a vibrant and consistent source of excellent choral performances, a major contributor to the quality of life in Orchard Park and surrounding areas, a beacon of civic pride and opportunity for all in the Southtowns – a bridge to the greater WNY community through shared music making, a cultural ambassador with engaged membership, and a model of collaborative and cooperative involvement with other performing arts organizations.
The Chorale shall provide a continuing choral group for those persons desiring to study and sing choral works. The organization shall be open to all who have a serious desire to participate with interest and talent in a common musical experience. It is our goal to bring the opportunity for enjoyment and appreciation] of beautiful music to our community and Western New York.

The chorale rehearses every Monday evening and performs two concerts each year. Artistic director Kathleen Keenan-Takagi says, “Chorale members participate because they enjoy expressing themselves in song and singing with each other. The group is dedicated to its mission to perform quality choral music. Plus there are physical and emotional benefits to belonging to a singing group. A recent study released earlier this summer showed that choral group members lower their heart rates when they sing together and breathe more deeply. There’s a great satisfaction, too, in mastering great music, developing choral skills, and performing for an audience. Musicians know that uniting with others in choral performance leads to an experience with connection and flow.”
