OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1975, the Orchard Park Chorale is an eclectic community chorus that summons experienced and motivated singers alike, whose shared goal is to make music at the highest level. We are an inclusive community that envisions a world united by the music we create together. We aim to remain a beacon of civic pride and opportunity for all who believe in the transformative power of music.  Our fast-paced rehearsals and inspiring performances serve as the vehicle by which we become better musicians, singers, and people—endlessly learning and growing as a community. We are firmly committed to upholding the highest degree of artistic integrity through our performances, artistic and administrative personnel, valued members, and collaborative relationships with other arts organizations.

We have performed with members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchard Park Symphony, Southtowns Youth Orchestra, Orchard Park High School Orchestra, Ars Nova Musicians, and The Cathedral Brass. The Chorale has combined choral forces with the Buffalo Choral Arts Society, the Freudig Singers, Opera Sacra, Western New York Children’s Chorus, Orchard Park High School Chorus, the Lutheran Chorale, and the Vocal Symphony of the Buffalo Arts Academy. Committed to community engagement, the Chorale annually performs at Fox Run, ECMC, Roswell Park Cancer Center, and Orchard Park Quaker Days.

OUR CONDUCTOR

Young Artist Program

The Orchard Park Chorale invites vocal students from area high schools and colleges to apply to be a Young Artist in the Orchard Park Chorale.  In this exciting new program, talented young singers can earn community service hours, the opportunity to sing masterworks with orchestra, reference letters, musicianship skills, and a waived membership fee.  This program will also prepare students for collegiate musical study and expose them to fine choral literature. DOWNLOAD the application.
